What makes Clear Line thumbnails work so easily? (1 post)

I really like Clear Line and I use it for all but one of my blogs. The one blog that does not run on Clear Line does not show the images the way Clear Line does. How does Clear Line take the image I load into my post and turn it into a thumbnail without me having to do anything - other than load the image into the post?
This is one of the things I most appreciate about Clear Line. I had thought it was a WordPress feature until I discovered it only works on my blogs with Clear Line.
