Ivan, I'm really needing some help here, please.....this is a serious problem.
I'm trying to set up an RSS feed from my Clear Line site FreshGreenImage.com on Your-Words-Worth.com, and keep getting the error:
"RSS Error: XML error: Reserved XML Name at line 2, column 38"
You'll see it if you go to http://www.your-words-worth.com/about-us
and look at the far-right sidebar.
When I try to submit the FreshGreenImage.com feed to Feedburner.com, I get this error:
The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 2: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed.
You can see even more about the problem from feedvalidator -
"FEED Validator

Sorry
This feed does not validate.

Please tell me what's happening here and how to fix it.
Thank you.
Is there <i>anyone</i> here who can give me some clue as to what's happening with this situation and how to fix it? Help? Please?
Phil, I'm quite sure this is not the theme related question, so please ask it on WP support forum
Ivan, the WP support forum referred me to possible errors on these files:
wp-rss2.php
wp-atom.php
wp-config.php
functions.php
Of these, only one exists in Clear Line, and the problem (a blank line outside of the <? and ?> brackets) is not there.
I am looking for a line that reads something like <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8":?> <rss version="0.92">
Can you tell me in which file I could find anything like that - or anything at all to do with RSS?
Thank you.
Just google your error - there are many discussions about the issue.
Here are some links that I found in 3 minutes.

Ivan, I *have* googled the issue. The files I listed were from the answers I found. I need to know from you which of the files you created have anything to do with RSS, as most of the files I listed above do not exist in Clear Line. You are not helping. I just need some simple direction to which files on *this* template address RSS, and then I'll be out of your hair.
Clear Line does nothing with RSS but the architecture of WP is so that ANY of the files can affect it (no matter what the file is about)
Also you can in any time find out if this is the theme issue or not by switching to another theme, trying your RSS, and then switching back to Clear Line. Your reluctance to do such simple thing is a riddle to me.
